Day 1: Mrs. Berry & Ms. Farr-Williams' group

-->
Day 1 – Monday:
The scrambled eggs, hash browns, hot chocolate and whipped cream…then crepes.

We learned about the equipment and Mrs. Berry’s kitchen. Then we started cutting and chopping potatoes and onions. After we cooked potatoes, eggs, and sausage and ate breakfast with hot chocolate and whipped cream. Guillaume then cooked crepes

and we ate them with strawberries, peanut butter, syrup, and whipped cream. At the end we made homemade ice cream and watched cooking shows.

One thing I learned today was that when whipping cream you need to start at a low speed then gradually get higher. I also learned tin bowls are best for whipping cream.  –Julia

Today while cooking breakfast, I learned how to peel a potato three different ways, and I learned how to properly chop a potato.  – Kay

Today I learned that if you light a candle while chopping onions you won’t cry because the candle absorbs all the sulfur. – Hannah

One thing I learned today is that you can’t put foil or ceramics in a microwave because the ceramic will break and the foil will start a fire. – Malcolm
