Day 1: Mrs. Sedestrom & Ms. Cascadden's group

We learned what equipment to use in the kitchen, including knives, whisks, mixers, and pots & pans.



We tried eggs three ways: scrambled on an electric skillet; egg whites on a Teflon pan; and scrambled on a Calphalon pan.

Home fries were a little difficult, as the experiment with a Dutch oven was not a success.

Whipped cream was quickest in the Kitchen Aid mixer, not with a hand mixer or a whisk.


In the afternoon, we toured the NHS kitchen,


played the Price is Right (congrats Tiem and Guillaume!)




then watched Cupcake Wars.
